20. Highland High School, Gilbert, AZ

Highland High School is a public school in Gilbert, Arizona. It has 3,010 students in grades 9-12. Highland High School is a family. The campus is full of school spirit, competitive athletics, and rigorous classes that prepare the students for what comes after high school.

The academics here are excellent. Students are able to choose from a variety of honors and AP classes. This school has an option for Dual Credit enrollment at a nearby Community College and students can receive college credits for required high school courses.

There is an AVID program offered here as well (Advancement Via Individual Determination) to urge college-bound high school students to take advantage of the courses offered and lead them on the right path to college.

The teachers at Highland High School genuinely care about their students. They open up opportunities for struggling students to attend before school, during lunch, and after school tutoring in almost every subject.
