20. Rocky Mountain High School, Fort Collins, CO

Rocky Mountain High School is a public school in Fort Collins, Colorado. It has 1,966 students in grades 9-12. This is such a quality school. The block program really lets the students explore and/or go in depth into areas of interest. The fun and friendly atmosphere can be found at all times on the campus.

If you have a passion, there is a class available that will satisfy it. The variety of classes offered at Rocky is excellent – from college courses to AP classes. AP classes engage students in a multitude of ways from field trips to labs, etc.

Teachers are fair and interested in the success of their students. They often collaborate within departments to determine grading specifications. They are always available outside of the classroom, and provide fun but academically challenging classes.

There are many club opportunities and extracurricular activities to get involved in, from duct-tape club to French club to Key Club – there are so many options.

Most students are in some form or club or organization and the clubs have sponsors as well – a teacher or a coach, they take place for the most part during the lunch hour and are highly recommended and are really fun to go to.

Rocky has an amazing sports program, and is known around the area for it’s Baseball program. Everyone is involved and participating in something. Rocky has an amazing weight/fitness room. There are many different ellipticals and treadmills as well as a multitude of different weight machines. Anyone can find something they enjoy.

Coaches and PE teachers at the school are great. They are always supportive of their teams and classes, and often go way out of their way to help students/players and make their experience the best one possible.
