Stanton College Preparatory is a public magnet school in Jacksonville, Florida. It has 1,546 students in grades 9-12. Stanton is the place to be if you’re intelligent and have ambitions to do great things in life. The community at Stanton is supportive and the competition drives you to work harder and do better in school.

Stanton College Preparatory High School is a nationally recognized public school and takes academics very seriously. There are a variety of classes ranging from every topic to fulfill everyone’s talents: art, technology, philosophy, psychology, etc.The classes consist of AP, IB, and Honors. The workload is excessive, yet that’s exactly what Stanton is about; the curriculum teaches time management and really prepares the students for what is to come in the future.

The teachers at Stanton are always willing to stop when a student has a question and re explain so that the student understands. They go above and beyond to prepare students for not only the AP test, but especially for college. They are tough when they need to be but it is because they genuinely care for each of their students who are willing to try in their class.

Most of the student body is either on a sport team or in a club. There are a wide range of clubs at Stanton, such as clubs centered around non-competitive sports, fine arts, academics, service projects, religion, relationships, and diversity.

The best part about Stanton is its diversity, and there are plenty of clubs around that appeal to various interests and facilitate the formation of friendships.

The Stanton athletic department is very vast and ensures that every student has an opportunity to find their hidden athletic abilities. The school provides decent equipment, and keeps the facilities in very good condition. Sports teams are fun to be a part of, and are pretty well supported by the school.
