Park Hill High School is a public school in Kansas City, Missouri. It has 1,713 students in grades 9-12.

From the teachers to the courses themselves, the academics at Park Hill High School are at very high level. You can choose how big your workload is by how challenging your courses are. You do need to put in the time to get the grades, but the teachers are always available and happy to help you with whatever you need.

The counselors push a harder course schedule and sometimes that can be difficult to deal with, but they are ultimately looking out for your best interest and trying to prepare you for college as best as they can.

The teachers are fantastic and the curriculum is diverse. Students are given the tools and encouragement to succeed and it shows through the standardized test scores of Park Hill’s students.

There are some very rigorous classes one could take as well as remedial classes for those who need extra help. AP classes have a lot of work in them and help students deeply understand what they are learning.

At Park Hill they don’t view athletes as just athletes but as student-athletes. To be an athlete you basically must be a good student and maintain those grades throughout the season. School spirit is really important to Park Hill as well, students are urged to attend as many sporting events as they want to go to.

There are so many options when it comes to extracurricular opportunities at Park Hill. Everything from the Gay Straight Alliance, French Club, and Anime Club. If you have an interest, you can join a club.

When you walk into this school you would would be amazed at the diversity. Most if not all of the students tend to be involved in something whether it’s sports, choir, band, or just helping out the community. There is as much peer pressure as you get at any other school, except the peer pressure is about getting the best grades. They are very helpful in not only letting you know what high school life is about, but also, the future life of college.
