Lake Travis High School is a public school in Southwest Travis Township, Texas. It has 2,317 students in grades 9-12. Students have a pretty positive experience at Lake Travis and the people are generally pretty nice and dedicated to academics. Typically, the parents are very involved in their children’s lives and contribute a lot to the district through volunteering, input, etc.

Lake Travis High School uses an alternating block format with four 90-minute classes meeting every other day. Four 9-week terms make- up the school year. This school also features a multi-level curriculum designed to meet the needs of each student.

Pre-AP/Honors and Advanced Placement courses are offered in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Computer Science, Other Language, and Fine Arts.

A variety of career and technical courses are offered on their campus through their Career Institutes including business, sciences, agriculture, communications, and many more. A special education program is also available to meet the needs of any students with need.

The teachers at Lake Travis High School are very knowledgeable, and it is clear that their intention is to share that knowledge with their students, engaging them in discussions, presenting accurate examples, and teaching lessons in a very professional and engaging way.

Lake Travis has an extensive variety of clubs to choose from, with regards to students with all sorts of interests. Some clubs include: Archery, Mountain Biking, Hispanic Dance Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce, DECA, Baking for Benefit Club, Doctor Who Club, Super Mario Smash Bros, Gardening Club, and Ultimate Frisbee. Also at Lake Travis if student does not find a club that hewould like to join he can create his own club.

Lake Travis High School accounts with outstanding athletic facilities that make students have the best experience while training or competing. The football team is very good and fun to watch. As are the other sports-all are proficient. A fantastic variety extending to wrestling, swimming, golf, ultimate frisbee, mountain biking, rugby, and so on.
