There are 1,042 high schools in Washington, made up of 885 public schools and 157 private schools. Washington ranks as the 16th state in terms of student enrollment and 14th in terms of total number of schools. It ranks 45th for the student/teacher ratio.

The following is a synopsis of Washington’s top 20 high schools.

20. Woodinville High School, Woodinville, WA

Woodinville High School is a public school in Seattle East Township, Washington. It has 1,406 students in grades 10-12. This school is incredibly strong in all the different things that make up a high school experience! It has a wide variety of sports and clubs, as well as very knowledgeable teachers in every subject.

Woodinville High School has many AP and college prep classes that are available. The workload for most classes is not easy, but manageable for good students. Some popular classes are AP Psych and Biomed. There are many teachers that are very qualified yet connect well with students.

The teaching staff all want the students to be successful. They will spend extra time with the students outside of school in order for the student to be at the level they desire. They push the students to excel and try to motivate all the students in their own individual ways that work best for the student.

There are many activities that students can get involved in, from business based activities, language based, and sports. Woodinville High School have Harry Potter club, FBLA, DECA, Dungeons and Dragons, Art Club, Drama Club, etc.

There is a club for everyone and most students participate in more than one. They have them all through out the week or month so that more students can attended. The competition clubs usually earn a high placement on their trips.

Woodinville High School thrives on sports. The school was recently redone and the update included redoing their soccer fields. School offer multiple sports for all seasons including sports clubs such a lacrosse.

Opportunity is available for every student wishing to participate in sports and athletic activities. A high percentage of students play a sport at the school and even those who don’t support many of the teams especially our football and basketball teams.
