Northwest High School is a public school in Germantown, Maryland. With its 2,062 students in grades 9-12, Northwest High School is the 19th largest school in the state.
The academic classes Northwest High school offer include a wide range if many APs and Honors classes as well as a select few regular classes. AP classes include a lot of work and weekend studying but the average student passes without any problems.
Honors classes are a little of a challenge where as in regular class the work is much easier. If a student wants to advance more and change into a high leveled class, they are more than welcomed at their counselors office for a meeting to discuss any changes.

The athletic offices and programs are outstanding and give students a wide variety to join. Recently, students got a bocce ball team. It is a new sport in which gives students more variety to take part in athletics and sports.
Whenever there is a game, numerous students always come to support school teams with school spirit by wearing their school colors or by cheering their peers on. The athletic directors help teach students citizenship and responsibility in school and around the community.
